I used 3 different blue colored pencils to get this look and I was amazed to see the results it brought out. Usually I take my own photos or from othe photographers. This was from a site for video games and I found the subway that was used very dramatic and powerful. The limitation of my color palette, produced more of an effect than I would have imagined.
As a draftsman I'm inspired by Van Gogh's brilliant art with forceful lines and colors, The paintings of the impressionist artists that gave light and life to their images and the towering buildings of German-American Expressionist Lyonell Feininger all enter my world of vision. There's a depth and perspective of time and space and rich tones and earth warm colors that ignite my subways and landscapes.
